A perfect Autumn Saturday for carving a pumpkin.......


It was wonderful!

Autumn Dreams

Fever fluctuates as
I vascillate between dreams
conscious and unconscious
of Autumn happenings
apple orchards, cinnamon donuts
pumpkin farms, hay rides
fall foliage of crimson and gold
breathtaking views
sweet aromas of apple pies
home cooked meals and hot chocolate
nurturing this body back to wellness
I hunker down wrapped in my soft robe
tea in hand and pup at my side
my heart fills of happy thoughts
of this season so cherished
as I experience the moments of Fall
if only in my dreams

Crossing Over

You didn't ask, didn't care
disinterest apparent
through your blank-eyed stare
your magic is gone
you snuffed it out
the person I thought I knew
disengaged, stepped out
I thought you saved me but,
you just prolonged my plan
to cross over that bridge
and forget it ever began
I reached for you,
you had nothing to say
so now I send myself on my way
you hide in the temple of the holy ghost
though you reject the one who needs you most
