RE: "A Mini Primer on Grief Work"

Check this out.... I happened upon Bonnie's blog today and it really spoke to me in light of my current state of mind.  It's very informative regarding the grieving process.

Be kind to yourselves.

Thanks Noelle! I appreciate the link. It is good information to know before you are caught in the midst of loss and grief.

Grief has been a subject that i have always been interested..firstly because it relates with my work secondly on my own personal level.
One of the authors i much treasure is Elisabeth Kubler- ross. An zextraordinary human being, both looking at dying from a scientific and spiritual point of view....But most of all how we deal with our losses. She calls death as the last state of growth. She explores 5 states of greiving only as a reference ...Denial, anger, merchandising, depression and acceptation. Sometimes we juggle from one state to the other , from anger to denial, denial to anger etc etc....till we find the state of acceptation where from we integrate the reality of our losses , mourn and find new resources that will enable us to reconcilate, repair and reconstruct.
Some of her books are...' on grief and grieving' 'on death and dying'...you also have an audio book where you can hear her talk about her experience as a thanatologist.
She has been a pioneer and has worked with dying children.
i would like to know your point of view once you have read them or whenever you shall read them.
i m going to check into Bonnie's blog to discover her.
hugs

Thank you Col. I'm just rediscovering old comments here and unfortunately, I wish I had explored more of Ms. Kubler-Ross when you first mentioned her.
