Mosaic of Sun

A mosaic of sun shines upon
the shadows of what once never was
yet those words I hear...
I love you so much
are words I shall bury and hide
on dark days there will be no need
to search and  to find
words, nurture and soothe

a much cluttered mind

in words a friend I find

...in words, a friend I find
I'll sift through the sand of a heavy heart
and scoop them up..those treasures of mine
"I love you so much"

Sweet Autumn

I vacillate between dreams
conscious and unconscious
of Autumn happenings
apple orchards, cinnamon donuts
pumpkin farms, hay rides
fall foliage of crimson and gold
breathtaking views
sweet aromas of apple pies
home cooked meals and hot chocolate
 I hunker down wrapped in my soft robe
tea in hand and pup at my side
my heart fills of happy thoughts
of this season so cherished
as I experience the moments of Fall
if only in my dreams

The Walk

I'm on this walk

this journey through time

where I exist only in the eyes

of the sincere observer

but there are so few,

so few who choose to see

and look for my truth

it is there for the knowing

but is that only knower me

I walk through days stormy

and welcome days serene

I make it one step at a time

as I free myself of judgment

and the sudden misfortune

of black coal actions and choices

that cast fire upon my

thoughts and perceptions

leaving me solo to clear the ashes

and nurse wild burns

of ego controlled actions

I concentrate - fully aware

of each step, each breath

as I walk, though

there are those times

when I must walk - alone

So, I'm working on creating  an inexpensive product to put in these swag bags for the AMA's.  So far, I've come up with cd sampler with a selection of poems or blank note cards with selected poems.  It would be way to expensive to give out whole books.  I just don't know which is best.  Any ideas?  Also, any other creatives out there interested in getting their creations out there, just email me and I'll direct you to my contact.  There's a cost involved but it's worth it if you're serious about getting your art, writing or whatever it is you create out there.  Anyway, back to looking for inexpensive note cards that I can customize ..... I think I can I think I can.....

Whew!!

I have been quite absent from my blog these past months.  It's not because I have nothing to say but, too much to say.  So many thoughts and so many circumstances yet, I have neglected my the passion that keeps me grounded and sane.   Things have been - great, just busy.  I'm super excited that both of my books are available on lulu.com and my first book "A Portrait of the Human Heart: A Collection of Poetry" is available on itunes and bn.com ( as well as on lulu.com).  I am working on getting my second book "Trailing the Truth Fairy: A Poetic journey" on itunes and bn.com as well.  The formatting aspect is tricky for me to do so I am pulling my hair out at the moment.  I'm also redesigning the cover to "Portrait" so I'm spending a lot of my creative juices on that as well.   Also, I have the opportunity to put my writing in the swag bags that they hand out to celebrities at the awards shows...AMA's are coming up soon.  Keep your fingers (and toes) crossed!!

creating your pain, refusing aid

hiding behind the past, denying the future

the shadow following you trips you up

chained to you like bad memories

buried deep inside, down in the dark

I feel your pain, you aren't alone

I know the weight of your burden

don't let it take your life

I wish I knew what to say

what to do to keep you from giving up

there's so much good (love) right in front of you

don't let it eat us alive

it has only the power you give it

you know you want this...be brave

life is tough and no one gets a pass

Syrum of Sadness

A syrum of sadness spreads
like an infectious diseaese
left untreated..there is no hope
as it attacks vulnerability
leaving questions unanswered
and friendships forgotten
a heart and soul stew in melancholy
mixed with disappointment and
maybe a sprinkling of resentment
when is one to say enough is enough?
