Show Me The Way Lyrics

here.

Every night I say a prayer in the hope that there's a heaven
And every day I'm more confused as the saints turn into sinners
All the heroes and legends I knew as a child have fallen to idols of clay
And I feel this empty place inside so afraid that I've lost my faith

Show me the way, show me the way
Take me tonight to the river
And wash my illusions away
Show me the way

And as I slowly drift to sleep, for a moment dreams are sacred
I close my eyes and know there's peace in a world so filled with hatred
That I wake up each morning and turn on the news to find we've so far to go
And I keep on hoping for a sign, so afraid that I just won't know

Show me the way, Show me the way
Take me tonight to the mountain
And wash my confusion away

And if I feel light, should I believe
Tell me how will I know

Show me the way, show me the way
Take me tonight to the river
And wash my illusions away
Show me the way, show me the way
Give me the strength and the courage
To believe that I'll get there someday
Show me the way

Every night I say a prayer
In the hope that there's a heaven...

This is beautiful... life can be filled with disillusions, as we are constantly reminded of all of the bad news. In hope, we can find a little bit of heaven here on earth... thanks for the post, dear one.

You said a beautiful prayer !

Mt 7:7- " Demandez et l'on vous donnera ; cherchez et vous trouverez ; frappez et l'on vous ouvrira.

This is so beautiful and it takes time to wash away the illusions that seem to build over time.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Noelle!

and the greatest gift to share is seeking that heaven with another...
that is the best that can be shown dear one, the best there is says ""Arise, my darling,
my beautiful one, and come with me.

11 See! The winter is past;
the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come, the cooing of doves is heard in our land.
The fig tree forms its early fruit; the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come, my darling;
my beautiful one, come with me."
Song 2:10-13
And how I want to go there...

I like it ... it is almost prayer style. Even though the song was show me the way .... my head kept singing come sail away... their other hit.

Thank you for sharing this,
