2009 was a very eventful year. As I made my resolutions and conjured up new dreams last year on this very day, little did I know the reality I would come to experience. What a roller coaster ride the past year has been. I have known happiness, sadness, sickness, health...and well too many other things - many of which you have read through my sometimes true to life poetry. Just like last year, I have resolutions and dreams. I love the blank slate of a new year..nice, neat clean pages upon which I will continue to write my story. Hopefully the wisdom of 2009 will only serve to light my fire within and I will walk my path to fate. There are lots of new changes that happened for me at the end of 2009, both good and bad, so I am ready to soar above and live the life I'm meant to live! I want to thank you, dear readers, for your continued support, friendship, and love that you have so kindly bestowed upon me. I never knew what I was getting into one year ago when I began this blog and friends, it's been worth the ride! Bring on 2010. Are ya with me?
I so appreciate your kindess, comments and critique. This blog has given me purpose, a bit more self-respect and just maybe the realization that I might have something important to say every now and then.
May your days and nights be blessed! Believe in those dreams that hide deepest within you.
Every night I say a prayer in the hope that there's a heaven And every day I'm more confused as the saints turn into sinners All the heroes and legends I knew as a child have fallen to idols of clay And I feel this empty place inside so afraid that I've lost my faith
Show me the way, show me the way Take me tonight to the river And wash my illusions away Show me the way
And as I slowly drift to sleep, for a moment dreams are sacred I close my eyes and know there's peace in a world so filled with hatred That I wake up each morning and turn on the news to find we've so far to go And I keep on hoping for a sign, so afraid that I just won't know
Show me the way, Show me the way Take me tonight to the mountain And wash my confusion away
And if I feel light, should I believe Tell me how will I know
Show me the way, show me the way Take me tonight to the river And wash my illusions away Show me the way, show me the way Give me the strength and the courage To believe that I'll get there someday Show me the way
Every night I say a prayer In the hope that there's a heaven...
his words drip with disinterest and the truth is revealed as he fails to look her in the eyes no questions left to ponder as all uncertainty is gone he wants to have it all his way... the poison of his self-centeredness has chipped away her desire to follow through with acquiescence in hopes of something more the apparation reveals the truth in the day light of her mind 'twas just a dream of a lonesome heart and now it's time to say good bye
