Forgiveness is a Gift of Peace...to Yourself!

The power of forgiveness
beams within as a gift -
a gift from my friend, the Universe
it wasn't asked for, but I give
it freely just the same as insanity,
that symptom of underlying fear
spoke volumes to my existence,
my very way of life at that moment
I judge not for no judgment is needed
I see it for what it was -
a paradigm for conditioning,
hard wiring that was not meant for me
I forgive and I let go, I accept
and that shame placed upon me
dissappears into sweet freedom,
that freedom I call peace
the serene bliss that exudes
is a testament to my soul,
the soul I thought I lost when
I pounced back at the claws
of insanity, disgrace
these moments are mine as
I watch, I know, I am aware
I have arrived home....

Noelle- lovely and sensible thoughts beautifully sculpted. So many times we want and mean to forgive, but just a small remnant remains hidden becoming an unknown cancer. take care~rick

Exactly. Forgiveness given freely is truly freeing.

Hi Noelle, I've just read back the last 10 or so poems. Pain always seems to be a good motivator to searching out ways to get through it. Poetry also helps us explore the emotions and discover that if we don't move through pain we get stuck there.
And as you said and other commenter's, that when we begin to forgive, healing blossoms.
Your poetry is heart felt, and diamond bright.
You have sent your journey out into the Universe, I know it will reach others who are on that road of emotional abandonment and will help them face the pain and move through it.
You are blessed to be a blessing.

I love the title of this and it continues to speak volumes to me...
I read this earlier today "the place of 'wholeness' is in becoming one who is indeed learning but who, desipite the limitations of the learning process, has abandoned oneself into a personal love." ~Brodie

We have to forgive in order to fully enter that place of love.
You have summed it up so very well!

You captured the meaning and
the reason of forgiving in
your fine words. Thank you
Noelle for I so needed to read
these words. Whew!
