A Season Come and Gone

A dream - one Tuesday
some years ago
came to fruition
as I was filled with
sun beams, moon beams
and sweet magical musings
soothing a body and soul
owned by pain and the lack of stillness
for moments in time
faith was followed into the evening air
and bounce to a shuffling step returned
to bring solace and much more - hope
the will and determination to find me
in a sea of uncertainty
 for some fleeting moments
I was a poet...and a fledgling musician
as I reached out in poetry
you replied in song
a budding of a friendship
that  season come and gone

Sometimes when two pieces come together like that, there's nothing in the world that can take away that feeling or replace it. It is such a wonderful feeling to collaborate in that way and then always have that memory. I loved this one, Noelle.

This is a really lovely piece, Noelle. When we encounter wonderful people who become part of our lives, even briefly, and have such profound affects on us, it's important to at some point be able to look back oand appreciate what gifts they were (as opposed to only seeing the painful endings).

Sometimes a fleeting moment is just as long as a long-lasting one. They're both meaningful. Thanks Noelle for your encouraging words on my blog.
