Poet of the Week - Craftsman of Light

Thank you, Craftsman of Light at Stars in my Inkpot and Crying Skies for being the first Poet of the Week to be showcased here.  If you would like your writing to be presented here, please feel free to contact me.

You make my heart ache like a peach tree about to flower
i collapse into the tender words of your letter

Unable to pull myself out from its laughter
i drink from its warm blue skies
Remembering
our tightly enlaced bodies.

Each word unbuttons like your thin white skirt
swaying into my thoughts
on a cool summer morning
till i wore your deeper yearnings
till i wore their silence.

June sprays on our faces
sleeves drenched
hair wet, shoes in the puddles
smiling, deliriously happy
squirming my eyes
i stood in your world.

Have you noticed how the light changes in the sky
when something beautiful drifts into our hearts.
